An American missionary in India finds an orphan living in the forest. One night, when she leaves the house to draw water, he sneaks into her room and sleeps next to her bed. He promises her that if she will feed him like his mother every day when she goes out for water, he will never tell anyone where he is from or about his parents. The missionary agrees but finds it difficult not to betray the boy's trust after over a year of feeding him. Over time, their relationship begins to change until one day-she sees him playing with a friend--and realizes that something has changed between them. He was a woman's son, born out of mother love. She was a man's wife, by her husband loved. He is a boy; when he cries they come running to him. They are women, when they cry no one cares. True love always has tender affection for others. True life has concern for the whole world!
The movie Laila Majnu was released in 2017 and directed by Satish Raj Sandilya. Bollywood actor Arya Babbar played the male lead role of the film while Tannishtha Chatterjee played female lead role in the film. The movie was filmed in Kerala and Rajasthan. Several landmarks in the cities of Rajasthan added a wonderful backdrop to the film.
